Rangat Island is located in the Middle and South Andaman Islands, approximately 180 km by road from Port Blair and about 50 nautical miles (90 km) by sea. Covering an area of about 1070 sq. km, Rangat is an emerging eco-tourism destination with pristine beaches, turtle nesting grounds, waterfalls, and unique mangrove ecosystems.
The population primarily consists of Bengali and Tamil speaking communities engaged in fishing and cultivation. Rangat serves as an important transit point for travelers heading to Long Island, Diglipur or Mayabunder, but it deserves exploration in its own right for its natural beauty and unique attractions.
